My Brothers,

We are now two months into an amazing year.  So far we have had our annual Lodge Banquet, held a successful Lodge Leadership Development Course, and Conclave Work Day.  Despite our successes we still have a lot of work to do.  At the Work Day we only had seventeen people.  Let’s see if we can get that up at the next one which will be on March 13.  Keep in mind that we are having this Work Days to prepare our camp for almost two - hundred of our fellow Arrowmen when they come to Camp V-bar for the annual Section Conclave.

Along with a new month we also have a new Scout Executive.  I am pleased to welcome Don Ellis to the Southeast Louisiana Council as he takes the place as the Supreme Chief of the Fire for our Lodge.   The Council also has a large event coming up.  Join us on March 26 - 28 for the Camporall as the Southeast Louisiana Council goes to Camp V- bar to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Scouting.

After Camporall and Conclave we still have a couple of important events.  From April 30 - May 2 we will hold our Spring Ordeal.  Help us to do some Cheerful Service at camp and induct the newest members to Order.   Then over the summer we will be continuing our OA Camp Chief program.  Some of the staff members who are in the OA will help me to hold unit elections and Brotherhood conversion.  Finally, on July 3rd we will be celebrating an early Independence Day with our third Annual Family Fun Day.

As you can see we will be very busy over the next few months, so come out and support the Lodge as we seek to spread the message of Scouting and service to the entire Council.
