It’s May, can you believe it? We are already one-third of the way through the year. Last month we held an extremely successful Conclave for SR-1a. Our ceremonies team did extremely well in competition and one of our past Lodge Chiefs, Dwayne Fontenette, was elected to serve as the new Section Chief.

Another good thing about May means that we are just one month away from every scout’s favorite time of year- summer! I can assure that the lodge will be keeping over the summer. At Camp V-Bar’s summer camp we will continue our OA Camp Chief Program. Troop elections and Brotherhood Conversions (these will cost $15 in order to pay for the new sash) will be both be provided during all three weeks of camp. Then on July 3rd the Lodge will be hosting its third annual Family Fun Day. And of course, there will be a strong presence by the Order of the Arrow at National Jamboree. All in all it should be great summer, and I hope to see all of you soon.
